The concept of integrated development was conceived with the idea to have a self sustained building with seamless connectivity. There will be 2 levels of retail component with common lifts bringing the guest up to level 9 & 10 where the sky lobby for both hotel and suites are located.

The form of the building is inspired by the aeronautical winds cutting wrapping through the planes, represented by horizontal lines with irregular cuts through the site, forming dynamic shapes with holes separating hotel and suites.

The crowns of the building is wrapped with aluminum claddings and shaped diagonally to express the booming of high technology industrial around Bayan Lepas.

Standing at 36 storeys, Penang Gateway will be an icon and first to be notice as visitors landed in Penang International Airport, hence the name of Penang Gateway.
